What is RAHAMA
The Recovery and Humanitarian Action Management Agency (RAHAMA) is a Sri Lankan NGO dedicated to rebuilding and empowering war-affected and vulnerable communities. Since 2012, RAHAMA has supported resettlement, livelihoods, and sustainable development through a rights-based approach that promotes equality, environmental care, and local leadership. Working with government bodies, civil society, and the private sector, RAHAMA strives to create inclusive, resilient communities where everyone can live with dignity and opportunity.
What we focus on
RAHAMA supports recovery and resilience in Sri Lanka’s Northern region through programs in livelihood development, gender equality, alcohol and drug prevention, child rights protection, and mental health. We empower communities to build sustainable livelihoods, promote equality and well-being, and create safe, inclusive environments where individuals and families can thrive.
